Who said it: Ivanka Trump or Hillary Clinton?

So far Ivanka has trod a careful line, often supporting her father at public events but careful not to say the wrong thing, as she maintains a carefully curated public image as businesswoman and entrepreneur. “He is colorblind and gender-neutral”, she said of the nominee, who has called women “pigs” and “dogs” in the past.

Donald Trump’s daughter-in-law Lara Trump, is a North Carolina native and N.C. State graduate, and on Thursday she joined her husband Eric to cheer on the North Carolina Republican delegation at the RNC.

Much has been made by the Trump children of the value of hard work that their parents instilled in them, and how they spent summers working rather than jetting off to the French Riviera with friends. “It’s also a prelude to reaching the goal that unites us all when this party, and better still this country, will know what it’s like to win again”, Ivanka said.

In an interview with People magazine, she also praised her step-mother Melania – who came under fire on Monday for delivering a speech that plagiarized Michelle Obama – as an “unbelievable” mother to her 10-year-old step-brother Barron.

The younger Trump offered up examples of her dad reaching out to strangers with help and job opportunities after reading about injustices and tragedies in the newspaper. She serves as the company’s Executive Vice President of Development & Acquisitions.

In front of a national audience, Ivanka reinforced her father’s assertions that he will fight for and economically struggling middle class in a softer, kinder manner than the candidate himself usually displays. “It’s what he does, it’s who he is”, he said amid a applause from the audience.
