Civilians killed in US-led air strikes in Syria: Human Rights groups
The Syrian Observatory said 11 children were among those killed as people fled the village, which is about 14km (9 miles) north of Manbij, at dawn on Tuesday.

US forces have yet to acknowledge the credibility of the reports.
However, at least two human rights organizations have claimed the U.S.-led airstrikes killed dozens of civilians – at least 50, and perhaps more than 100. It has become the site of intense conflict since a US-backed alliance composed of Kurdish and Arab militias – known as the Syrian Democratic Forces – entered the city in June.
Syria accuses France of being behind the raids as the French air force has intensified activity in the Coalition since the Nice terror that killed 84 people on July 14.
The strikes in Al-Tukhar come a day after US-led coalition air strikes killed 21 civilians in and around the northern Syrian town of Manbij, the SOHR reported.
In a statement, rights watchdog Amnesty International said the U.S.-led coalition must do more to prevent civilian deaths.
“The bombing of al-Tukhar may have resulted in the largest loss of civilian life by coalition operations in Syria”, said Magdalena Mughrabi, Amnesty’s interim deputy director of the Middle East and North Africa Program.
But progress into Manbij city has been slow, with landmines littering the roads in and snipers attacking advancing troops.
The group claims that since 31 May, coalition strikes have killed a total of 104 civilians, including 29 children, 16 women and eight prisoners.
Reports are conflicting, but the bombing reportedly took place near Manbij, where U.S.-supported troops are fighting ISIS, according to The Guardian.
United Nations Commissioner for Human Rights Zeid Raad al-Hussein expressed concern for the deteriorating civilian situation in Manbij Friday, noting there are as many as 70,000 civilians trapped in the area.
“If the information supporting the allegation is determined to be credible, we will then determine the next appropriate step”, USA military officials noted, adding that they take “all measures during the targeting process to avoid or minimize civilian casualties”.

Oqab Yahya, with the Coalition, called on the USA government to “conduct an investigation” into the US air strike operations in Manbij, as well as to lobby Russian Federation to put an end to the “massacres” being committed by its army in Syria.
