“Andre Schurrle is a Germany worldwide with exceptional attacking potential who is also a very assured passer of the ball and always carries out his defensive duties very well”, said Dortmund’s director of sport Michael Zorc on the Bundesliga club’s website.

Schurrle has put pen to paper on a contract running until June 30, 2021.
The German attacker also revealed his delight at joining the club, and hopes he can develop his game further in the coming seasons.
Schurrle moved to Wolfsburg from Chelsea in February 2015 and scored 13 goals in 63 appearances for the Wolves.
It’s only been 18 months since Schurrle made his return to the Bundesliga following a topsy-turvy spell at Stamford Bridge, and Dortmund have clearly liked what they’ve seen of his progress back in Germany.
“Despite being only 25, he has a great deal of global experience. His qualities will prove very valuable for our team”, said Borussia Dortmund sporting director Michael Zorc.

“Borussia Dortmund is one of the top clubs in Europe, with a strong and extremely exciting squad”, Schurrle said. “I know from personal experience how much power BVB has through the interaction with its fans and look forward now to be able to experience that for the first time not as awestruck opponent, but as part of the team”. With nine goals to his name, he was the fourth-highest scorer between January and May in the Bundesliga.
