Manchester United transfer news: Van Gaal refuses to discuss Di Maria’s PSG
“We have a situation that is not favourable for David de Gea, but neither for us and neither for the club [Real Madrid] that maybe he wants to go to”, Van Gaal said.

Manchester United are close to agreeing a deal that will allow the Argentina star to end his year-long Old Trafford nightmare, but now the Dutch boss has decided to teach the winger a painful lesson with a hard line stance over negotiations.
This is insane. I think Angel is somewhere enjoying life, away from the brutal British media that has been hounding him since he arrived in Old Trafford.
Without di Maria, Manchester United’s attack sometimes sputtered, while Paris Saint-Germain was able to hold on after goals from midfielder Blaise Matuidi and forward Zlatan Ibrahimovic in the first 34 minutes.
Di Maria should have been on a flight from Buenos Aires to United’s California training camp but he failed to arrive at the airport.
“You can ask it every week, but I don’t answer that question”.
Although Macari believes Van Gaal has some work to do with his defence, the Red Devils legend is confident United can challenge for the Premier League crown this term.
Manchester United’s pre-season US tour ended on a losing note here Wednesday as French giant Paris Saint-Germain claimed a 2-0 victory to clinch the worldwide Champions Cup exhibition tournament.
Louis Van Gaal had earlier admitted that the whereabouts of the Argentine worldwide remained unknown.
Despite enjoying a positive start to life at the club – scoring three goals in his first four matches – Di Maria’s form soon faded and he was reduced to playing a bit-part role under Van Gaal towards the end of last season.
Macari says the PSG defeat shows vulnerability in United’s defence and he also criticised his former club’s display against the Ligue 1 winners.
Luiz insists he has not spoken to Di Maria about moving to PSG. He has the quality to improve any team in the world, but manager Laurent Blanc needs to settle him in one position after a frustrating spell of rotation under Van Gaal.
