Ivanka Trump will take center stage at the Republican National Convention tonight and give her father perhaps his most effective and compelling endorsement yet of the multi-day event.

She’s a smart kid, apparently (“She’s got all A’s at Penn, so we’re proud of her”, Donald Trump told the magazine) and graduated in May. Also like her father, Ivanka is a published author as of October of 2009, which is when her debut book, The Trump Card: Playing to Win in Work and Life, was published. She’ll get no argument from Tiffany, who said: “Whatever he does, he gives his all and does it well”.

“Part of the reason we have such a good relationship is because he respects me and because I’m candid in my opinions and I share them – solicited or otherwise”, she said. In her speech, Ivanka said equal pay and child care are priorities for Trump, and then, in his RNC speech immediately after her’s, he didn’t mention any of them. As a registered Democrat and actual sane human person, I can’t easily make peace with this.
Ivanka Trump has said she has counseled her father on his public image and does not always agree with his choices. “She’s very eloquent, she speaks very well and I think that she could help mold the way he talks to women”.

The 22-year-old recent university graduate stepped out of the shadow cast by her more high-profile siblings at the GOP convention in Cleveland, Ohio, and sung her famous father’s praises in front of a packed-out arena of almost 20,000.

“I’ve given a few speeches in front of classrooms and students, but never in an arena with more than 10 million people watching”, she said. She is highly intelligent and extremely talented, and I rely on her both for my company and my campaign, ‘ Trump told The Associated Press in a statement. Ivanka has softened her father’s strong persona and served as a trusted advisor.
She has campaigned alongside her father and stepped out on her own on the campaign trail, bringing testimonials and personal anecdotes.
This goodwill for Ivanka may prove to be a powerful political weapon for her father.

This convention has been mired in controversies – a protest vote yesterday followed by Melania Trump’s speech for which she has been accused of plagiarising Michelle Obama. “That’s what he does: He draws out the talent and drive in people so that they can achieve their full potential”.

A source close to Ivanka recently told the New York Post: “They basically have to put their friendship on pause because their parents are ripping each other to shreds”.
