Mourinho to set sights on two other players if Pogba move fails
Mourinho, who is in China with his Manchester United team, criticised Allardyce’s West Ham United side in 2014 for playing “19th-century football” when frustrating Chelsea, but the Portuguese now believes the FA has made a wise choice – but also put some onus on the British media.

Paul Pogba is widely expected to re-join Manchester United, but Massimiliano Allegri is hopeful the France star will stay at Juventus. It is also a big club, one with economic power to fight for their best players, to try and keep their best players.
“We’ve done a couple of weeks now and I’ve spoken to him a couple of times and obviously all the others players have talked as well”, he said. Because we were always a club – and are still a club – that when teams come to Old Trafford, they know they are going to be up against it and they know they are probably going to lose.
“My relationship with Mr Woodward is very good, it is very open”.
“I think Sam never had the big chance at the highest level – lots of experiences in the Premier League but never that big one”.
“I’m really looking forward to working with him”, said the 21-year-old.
“The manager is trying to make things quite simple for everyone”.
“We set four targets for us, we got three of them and we are going to get the fourth”, Mourinho said, having brought in Zlatan Ibrahimovic, Henrikh Mkhitaryan and Eric Bailly.
“We established the profile of four players to improve the squad, to give us more options, especially adapted to my way of thinking about football”.
The United boss said unhappy players will be allowed to leave before the close of the summer transfer window, but Mourinho does not expect Mata to be one of them.
“We try to do suits by measure that are flawless for the person and the way I’m building the team is more important for me with the players from other positions than the one I think who is going to play as the striker”. We sold him to Man United and done.

“We know Pogba, he is a player who proved to be very strong and, for a while, Barcelona were interested, but clearly the dynamics changed and once the figures reached a certain point, we were no longer interested. So that is what we need to get back to”.
