Manchester City are set to make another transfer under Pep Guardiola after striking a deal with Schalke 04 for the German global midfielder Leroy Sane according to The Sun.

“Sane is a player of Schalke”, Guardiola said in his post-match press conference, as quoted by Sky News.
Following a recent friendly against former club Bayern Munich, Guardiola spoke to Manchester City’s official website about the current situation regarding Sane, confirming his interest in the player, and his uncertainty if the deal will happen.
‘Of course we talk to him [Sane] – Schalke knows we are interested, but at this moment we don’t have many possibilities to get him’.
Do you think Sane will be a good signing for Manchester City?
“I am so happy, we did many things we spoke about well and in the right moment – that’s why we can not forget which team we played”, he said.
Schalke’s sporting director Christian Heidel confirmed that the 20-year-old handed in a transfer request to the Bundesliga giants.
Manchester City have already thrashed out personal terms with the player’s advisers, and are only waiting to reach an agreement with Schalke, who want €50m for the German winger.

“We will consent to a transfer if Schalke’s conditions are met”. He played only 11 minutes in France during Euro 2016.
