Tight-Lipped ‘Game of Thrones’ Cast Reflects on Last Season
HBO has confirmed that “Game of Thrones Season 7” will not be aired before summer 2017, which means the show will get no nominations in Emmy awards next year.

Producers of the show have in fact previously stated their intentions to wrap up the series in season eight, and had teased the possibility of two truncated seasons that would wrap the show up at the 73-hour mark.
If you were curious about whether Kit Harington had a loincloth wardrobe malfunction during those scenes in the first few episodes of Game of Thrones Season 6, where he spent several episodes lying dead on a slab, you can now find out.
Miranda Sanchez is an Editor at IGN.
He had appeared at the huge San Diego Comic-Con this week and was party of the bash on Thursday night.
“Game of Thrones” co-creators Weiss and Benioff made headlines when they admitted that the season would likely be delayed.
“I did not expect it to be so insane, I’m really, really flattered – it’s blown my mind”, the 40-year-old Northern Irish actor said. Perhaps the most interesting insights came from actress Sophie Turner, who obliquely referred to Sansa Stark’s newfound “taste for killing” and said she could evolve into either a strong leader, or a sadistic one.
“In a way, I think it’s probably better that we couldn’t do it, because it never would have measured up to what we were able to do later”, the showrunners added.
Fans in the massive room chanted “Hodor, Hodor, Hodor” at one point.
Fans also got a glimpse of a little blooper reel from season six, showing amusing outtakes like actor Peter Dinklage struggling to pronounce “benevolent”, and a “preview” of next season showing the new sets being constructed.
“It’s still ultimately George’s imagination that gave us these characters, that gave us this world… So we kind of pushed everything down the line, so we could get some grim, grey weather even in the sunnier places that we shoot”.
