Conservative Gathering Disinvites Trump After Megyn Kelly Quips

Businessman Donald Trump had been on the program, but late Friday RedState’s Erick Erickson said he was withdrawing his invitation because of a comment Trump made earlier that evening about Fox News debate moderator Megyn Kelly. “It just was wrong”, Erickson continued.

But the Trump campaign fired back, saying “this is just another example of weakness through being politically correct”. Does that sound to you like the temperament of a man we should elect as president, and how will you answer the charge from Hillary Clinton, who was likely to be the Democratic nominee, that you are part of the war on women? According to Costa, Trump’s campaign also called Erickson a “weak and pathetic leader”. “Blood was coming out of her wherever”.

Mr Trump was one of 10 Republican presidential candidates in a TV debate co-hosted by Ms Kelly on Thursday, which was watched by a record 24 million people.

During the GOP debate Kelly had questioned the Republican frontrunner about disparaging comments he has made in the past about women.

Trump, no stranger to attacking public figures of any gender, claimed on ABC’s Good Morning America on Friday that Kelly “came up with words” that he “didn’t recognize” whatsoever.

Donald Trump has been disinvited from a Republican party event Saturday over a suggestion that a debate moderator was tough on him because she was menstruating.

“I apologized, and I’m not running for president”, Erickson said.

Donald Trump has unloaded on Fox News journalist Megyn Kelly.

Erickson described the comments about Kelly as “a bridge too far for me”. “I used to love Fox News”. You once told a contestant on Celebrity Apprentice it would be a pretty picture to see her on her knees.

I called Mr. Trump’s campaign manager and apologized and told him I felt bad for Mr. Trump because he has gotten so much sh*t from so many people and the party itself wasn’t treating the guy at the front of the pack as legitimate.

The 69-year-old clashed with Kelly, who challenged the tycoon about his views on women. Republican strategist Matt Mackowiak said: “This is the first time that a significant figure in the conservative movement has stood up to Trump and it’s cost him anything”.

Trump commented that he had only used such language when referring to Rosie O’Donnell, the US comedian. “Little @MacMiller, I’m now going to teach you a big boy lesson about lawsuits and finance”.

And to former U.S. Rep. Barney Frank in 2011: “Barney Frank looked disgusting – nipples protruding – in his blue shirt before Congress. Very very disrespectful”.

Asked whether God speaks to him, the Florida senator replied: “Well, first, let me say I think God has blessed us”.
