Kabali, the new movie starring Tamil movie superstar Rajinikanth, is drawing huge crowds after opening here on Thursday (July 21). “So, we thought we’ll watch it in Telugu itself to get the feeling of being in Hyderabad”, says Mayuri, who watched the movie on first day.
Kabali’s ascendance to power is not something we see and get a feel of, it’s a fleeting story of tremendous success that is writ large on the faces that look at him and idolize him. Well, mixed reactions to that one. There are scenes in the film that may defy human imagination and logic, but, then, with Rajinikanth at the helm of things, logic and rationalism be damned!
The first half of the movie narrates the rise of Kabaleeswaran (Rajinikanth) as a Malaysian don who evokes fear but has a heart of gold. From RJs, to show producers everyone is seen coming up with some reason which can help them take a day’s off. However, all their ideas go futile as they are provided with proper solutions which leave them thinking for more strong reasons. The cinematography of the film is handled by G. Murali and Editing done byu Praveen K.L. The film is going to release over 4000 screens worldwide.
Though tickets for upper classes and special enclosures in about 60 cinema halls were sold out for all shows till Sunday, there was a scramble for tickets for lower classes, as hundreds of fans queued up at their counters hours before they opened. Phew! This is what a Rajinikanth film brings on where the entire world is a part of it. Now here’s one big news-earlier, we had mentioned the movie was screens in 5000+ theatres.
