Oklahoma State basketball player Tyrek Coger died from an enlarged heart after a 40-minute team workout on the football stadium stairs in hot weather, officials said Friday. Therefore, there’s no way to tell if the current heat wave dousing the country had anything to do with the player’s death.

University spokesperson Gary Shutt said that Coger “did not appear to be struggling” during the workout but the team noticed issues after he sat down.
