An additional part of the rebranding is giving Raw and SmackDown new looks in a few ways. Is it as exciting to see unfold for the roster as it is for the fans? The WWE probably wanted to wait until after the 2016 WWE Draft for RAW & SmackDown. Expect this to not be the case after Battleground.

This is another weirdly booked match – the Wyatt Family was split by the draft with Braun Strowman (Raw) and Bray and Rowan (Smackdown). I’m picking Becky Lynch. She’s been hiding because she knows I’m better than her.
WWE has packed the Battleground card with eight matches so far and nearly all of them look certain to deliver with the much awaited Shield Triple Threat being the main attraction. After being an underdog to start the week, Darren Young is the favorite in his match against Intercontinental Champion The Miz. Even though we’ve seen that before on TV and here we are again. His “Block the Hate” slogan is extremely relevant today, as there are still many social issues in the United States regarding hate. The Miz has held the IC Title since the night after WrestleMania 32. Having been away from WWE programming to film another movie – and taking any discussion of the IC title with him – did not help at all. We were sitting in the back watching. I hope that doesn’t happen.yet.
Sasha Banks is living out a dream and is not shy to share to the world how grateful she is to be in WWE.
Charlotte and Dana Brooke vs. Sasha Banks and a partner of her choosing: The two names that are popping up the most frequently for Sasha’s partner are Bayley and Nikki Bella. Some are enjoying the minimalism, while others have complained about the W in Raw looking too much like an upside down M. The SmackDown Live logo has received a slightly better reception, however.

What’s next for The Wyatt Family? With a ring all to themselves, these two will get a chance to work out their differences. I could be wrong and WWE intends to completely shake things up, but I think the more likely possibility is that The Miz retains in some form or fashion.
– Apparently John Cena doesn’t agree with Styles. Enzo and Cass and The Club have the potential to win tag team gold as soon as Monday night, but I still have to go with Styles, whose run in WWE thus far has been, excuse the pun, phenomenal. This likely leads to another Cena-Styles match at Summerslam to settle whatever their issue is so the result here doesn’t matter. Now that one of these changes has already taken affect, we’ll have to keep a look out to see if the others will follow.
– Roman Reigns returned at tonight’s WWE house show in Newark, Delaware.
Until his name was read out as a Raw draft pick, it seemed as though Cesaro assumed he was going to Smackdown. For the first time in a while, it really matters what show each title will be on, and Battleground will be the first to show how influential this brand split can be.
