Black Lives Matter rally takes place in Derby city centre
While Newsome said he did not expect the GOP to fully embrace and promote the “Black Lives Matter” movement, he noted that he’s disappointed with the Democratic Party’s response. “When there’s injustice anywhere, against anybody – whether they’re black or white or a woman, a lesbian or gay person – it’s injustice everywhere, and in this country, we ought to respond and we ought to react and we ought to speak out”.

The two appeared on TMZ’s Raq Rants! to share their thoughts on the movement and police brutality.
Police say they will be well resourced and prepared to act if the rally turns violent.
“When I say all lives, I mean police lives, the civilian lives, our future lives, the lives that we’re living today”, she said. “How can you say black lives matter and want other races to respect you, but black people are killing each other?” The worst part of it all: the rally was protected by at least one Black police officer. I remember his first speech when he said there is no black America, black lives matter. “It’s not just black lives matter, black lives matter too, cop blue lives do matter, but more importantly human lives matter”, Prejean said.
“It’s important for white people to become allies to this movement, and that we realize that maybe we’re not contributing to it personally, but we can absolutely contribute to a solution”, said Angeline Lanza, a Dekalb resident, originally from Rockford.

The president brought together activists, law enforcement and lawmakers to devise immediate solutions to close the rift between the black community and police. Until they do, they have no sympathy from me. We need to stand together and care about all people, no matter what color their skin is or where you come from. “It does not matter what your skin color is”, said Jason Brandt. “I think we have to be careful about playing that game, just because that’s not obviously what is intended”.
