Ivanka Trump markets her look after RNC speech

Ivanka Trump, who has worked alongside Donald Trump for more than a decade, said the candidate hires people from “all walks of life”. She will introduce him Thursday night at the Republican National Convention – perhaps her biggest stage yet. “I think she’s done very, very well”. While he is blunt, she is noticeably careful in choosing her words. Or as she diplomatically put it: “It is possible to be famous and yet not really well known”.

Ivanka Trump acknowledged that her outspoken father’s comments have “gotten him into trouble occasionally”, but praised him for engaging directly with the voters, particularly on Twitter, saying it conveys who he is. “So I admire his ability to do it, it’s not something I would always want to be doing”.

But Ivanka, 34, has street cred where her father struggles – with women.

Trump’s half brother Donald Jr. showed off his own fashion flair when he took to the mic Wednesday night, choosing a purple printed with a light blue shirt and dark suit. Ivanka Trump actually converted to Modern Orthodox Judaism prior to marrying her husband.

A view shared by some outside the family, considered such a strong asset that her name even came up during the vice presidential search.

“It’s an unbelievable opportunity for me to be able to present to this country my father as I know him both a capacity obviously as a great personal mentor to me and an fantastic father”, she said.

Donald Trump will “focus on making affordable childcare affordable and accessible for all”, Ivanka Trump told the excited crowd.

However, another young woman, Larissa Martinez, said Ivanka could influence this campaign.

Yet she treads a careful line, supporting her father but equally careful never to say anything controversial, as she maintains a carefully curated public image as businesswoman and entrepreneur. “She hit the gender pay issue which is very important. And I don’t think anyone does, because she kind of keeps it to herself”.

Another woman at the town hall, Isabel Reid, isn’t sure she will vote for Trump, but she does appreciate that Ivanka is one of his close advisers. She is considered the most business-savvy of his four adult children.
