Chris Hemsworth to reprise his role in ‘Star Trek 4’
While the action is both fast and furious, they never detract from the experience, thanks to some smooth editing.

I’d be misrepresenting Star Trek Beyond, though, if I made it sound like an Ingmar Bergman production aboard the Enterprise.
The problem is that his Captain Kirk actually died in Star Trek: Generations, something which obviously complicates a return.
“Star Trek Into Darkness”, the first sequel, was less successful, but by no means a disaster. The screenplay of the film is taken by Simon Pegg and Doug Jung.
The film sees the core crew marooned across a wide swathe of one of those unknown alien planets the old USS Enterprise used to happen across pretty much every Sunday evening at around 7.30pm.
Accordingly, the performances, and the interactions between these much-loved characters, are the undisputed highlight here, particularly Pine’s Kirk (with a knowing dash of Shatner), Quinto’s Spock and Urban’s McCoy (who gets much more to do this time round).
With J.J. Abrams off dealing with those little “Star Wars” movies, Paramount Pictures needed somebody new to come guide their beloved “Star Trek” franchise.
In addition to the usual cast of Star Trek characters – which, in addition to Pegg, Quinto and Urban, includes Chris Pine as Kirk, John Cho as Sulu, Zoe Saldana as Uhura and the late Anton Yelchin as Chekov – Beyond also introduces dancer/actress Sofia Boutella as Jaylah, a stripe-faced warrior princess who’s hiding out on the aforementioned danger planet and may hold the key to the Enterprise crew’s eventual escape.
Word of the new installment of the film franchise delightedly surprised fans. Our heroes encounter terrifying aliens, led by the ugly Krall (Idris Elba).
Lin has always been good at movies which feature large ensembles, and this is clearly evident in “Beyond”, which gives us all of the essential movie elements and still finds time to focus on the bickering between Spock and Bones, the romance between Spock and Uhura and Captain Kirk’s self-doubts. “I could tell you wanted to just release that”, she added as the crowd applauded.
Clearly with Lin at the helm we know what to expect – his mantra is hardly “Go placidly amidst the noise and pace and remember what peace there may be in silence”.
Warp speed ahead – “Star Trek Beyond” is in theaters Friday. News: “I’m just wearing a ring, man”.
