The game has enthralled players and boosted investors’ view of Nintendo’s future, as they bet the group can cash in on a treasure chest of other lucrative cartoon characters, from Donkey Kong to Super Mario.

About 400 McDonald’s outlets in Japan have become Pokémon Go “gyms”, where players can battle on their smartphones.
“I saw the news on the internet two days ago, but couldn’t download it”, said Hirokazu Kikuchi, who was visiting the nation’s capital with his son from Tochigi prefecture. “We’re going to play it while visiting Tokyo this weekend”.
It isn’t clear that the issues are definitely related to the launch of Pokemon Go in Japan.
Niantic struggles again keeping the Pokemon Go servers up.
The newness of the game and its awesome ability to bring crowds of people together is one of the major reasons the mainstream has embraced Pokemon GO.
Pokemon Go continues to dominate the App Store and Play Store charts in Canada, sitting at the top of the free section in both digital marketplaces.
“Everyone had been waiting for this”, said Hideki Yasuda, an analyst at Ace Research Institute. “There’s no doubt it will be popular in Japan as well”. The game’s success has sent the stock price of Nintendo Co. soaring. Way before the release, the Chief Cabinet Secretary for Japan, Yoshihide Suga, came out saying that players of the game had to exercise caution and play the game in a safe manner. Its stock has climbed 23 per cent since Pokemon Go launched.
As the company plans to continually release the game in different markets, it is yet unclear when the game will be released in the third and fourth countries which are the biggest markets for smartphone apps.
It must be noted that the Japanese mobile app market is bigger than United States’ mobile app market, despite Japan having a notably smaller population.
Yesterday the Pokemon Go trainers celebrated on reddit that Niantic managed to achieve a 95% up time for the day.

Developers Niantic had been holding off on releasing Pokemon Go internationally because of the huge demand that interest was placing on its servers. “Pokemon is a attractive franchise which originated in Japan”.
