Home of lion hunter Walter Palmer, dentist who killed Cecil, vandalized
The dentist, Walter J. Palmer, has come under fire from animal rights advocates after it came to light the lion was allegedly lured from a national park and illegally hunted and killed.

The hunting guide who led Walter Palmer to the place where Cecil was shot is now on trial in Zimbabwe for breaching that country’s hunting laws. There are fewer and fewer lions in the world.
In the aftermath of the anger that followed the killing of Cecil, the lion from Zimbabwe, debate is intensifying in neighbouring South Africa over the practice of hunting captive-bred lions.
However, the police seized it from Bronkhorst’s home on July 7.
“He maintains he felt the shoot was legal and by all accounts he has no plans to stop hunting – he loves it too much”.
“They committed a crime, they’re saying he committed a crime”.
A conservation group has announced it wants to erect a life-sized statue of Cecil at Hwange National Park.
One rather suspects that they know this, but choose to ignore it. “Should we just put it behind us?”
Disgusted and saddened at the dentist’s actions, Strober says everyone is “appalled” at what the American dentist did to Cecil.
“We never would have sacrificed another animal to make a point that someone was wrong”, she said.
He believes that mounting the lion’s head in a case might bring tourists back to the park, claiming that Cecil was “iconic”. “They seem to have Minnesota circled on the map and I think I saw one lion on the phone on hold with SouthWest”.
“Cecil’s cubs are being seen regularly, and we extend our thanks to African Bush Camps and Brent Staplekamp from the Lion Research Unit in Hwange for the latest photographs”, said spokesperson Beks Ndlovu in a statement.

I remember being drunk with power as I softly pulled the trigger of my high-powered rifle and watched a leopard, a gazelle, an oryx, a zebra and other defenseless animals fall to the ground.
