Paul Ryan outraises longshot opponent 10-to-1
Cleveland – The Speaker of the U.S. House of Representatives urged OH delegates to the Republican National Convention July 20 to back Donald Trump in the November presidential election, saying a failure to support the GOP nominee would only help the presumptive Democratic nominee. You look ahead to how your team is going to rebuild next year and envision them being the greatest ever and count off the year that your rival is advancing to the title game as a fluke.

“You and I call those signs of life, signs of a party that’s not just going through the motions, not just mouthing new words for the same old stuff”, he said.
Ryan acknowledged the serious division among Republicans, but said Donald Trump is the only candidate in the race that believes in his agenda for the future of the country.
Ryan said Republicans should not be the party causing a divide, instead, they should strive to encourage people to come together.
They’ll bash those policies while highlighting Presumptive Nominee Donald Trump’s success as a businessman.
“Ohio is the determiner of where this nation goes”, he said. That’s what we must do now.
Several Ohio delegates, who were pledged to Gov. John Kasich, share Ryan’s position.
U.S. House Speaker Paul Ryan surprisingly drew some boos Tuesday morning during remarks to Texas Republicans – but it was all in good fun. Ryan called out Trump in June following his suggestion that a judge in the Trump University case was biased against him because of his Mexican heritage.
The crowd shouted back: “I-O!” “Against the dreary backdrop of arrogant bureaucracies, pointless mandates, reckless borrowing, willfull retreat from the world and all that progressives have in store for us”, Ryan said. Trump and Ryan have repeatedly clashed this year, though Ryan formally endorsed Trump last month.
“I want to win this election so darn badly that I am willing to do this”, he said before twirling the iconic rally towel of the Pittsburgh Steelers above his head.

Ryan said Tuesday that he plans to stand behind Trump and Pence despite their past clashes.
