We got our first look proper look at Luke Cage – Marvel’s badass “Hero for Hire” – in a new teaser trailer for his upcoming solo Netflix series.

Marvel TV has had a strong showing at San Diego Comic-Con.

Daredevil season two was released in March 2016, relatively soon after the critically-acclaimed opening season.

Some four months after the show’s second season debuted, Netflix has officially pulled the trigger on a third season renewal for their first Marvel original series Daredevil.

Luke Cage was the headline act this year, introducing the long-awaited solo series with Mike Colter in the lead role.

Cage is fighting a battle to keep things sane and safe in his city while forcing him to confront a past he had tried to bury.

Marvel’s Iron Fist-Official Synopsis: Danny Rand returns to New York City after being missing for years, trying to reconnect with his past and his family legacy. However, it’s worth remembering that Iron Fist is still in production whereas Luke Cage will premiere in September, so Danny Rand still has plenty of time to win us over.

Marvel newcomer Simone Missick will play blaxploitation-style kung fu detective Misty Knight, while Rosario Dawson stars as nurse Claire Temple, completing a trio of Marvel-Netflix appearances after Daredevil and Jessica Jones.
