NJ Man Arrested In Shooting Outside Big Sean & J. Cole Concert

Quran Powell, a 27-year-old New Jersey native, was arrested in connection with a recent shooting at PNC Bank Arts Center following a J Cole show.

Two Neptune men – ages 23 and 24 – were wounded when they were shot around 11:15 p.m. Monday in parking lot 4 of the arts center after the J.

A man has been arrested on suspicion of opening fire outside the PNC Bank Arts Center and shooting two men after a J. Cole concert at the venue, New Jersey State Police said.

Powell, 27, of Holmdel, N.J., faces two counts of attempted homicide and weapons offenses.

The victims were listed brought to a hospital and are in critical but stable condition, the station reports. He was arrested at an apartment there.

The Monmouth County Prosecutor’s Office will handle the case and the investigation into the shooting continues.

Eighteen-year-old Omayma Bougdour told the Daily News that gunfire began after an argument broke out in the parking lot.

State troopers used Okay-9 models and a helicopter to scour woods close to the amphitheater, and a $5,000 reward was being provided for info resulting in the shooter’s arrest. It wasn’t immediately known if he had retained an attorney.

Investigators developed info that led them to look Powell’s house Wednesday, the place they discovered he may be hiding in East Orange.

Powell is being held on a $750,000 bond as he awaits formal charges.
