Netflix teases Marvel’s Luke Cage, The Defenders at SDCC
A Nirvana-led teaser video for the series showed the names of all four heroes – Daredevil, Jessica Jones, Luke Cage and Iron Fist – plus a voice with an ominous warning: “You think the four of you can save NY?”

Finally, to recap everything, here’s a sizzle trailer for the upcoming shows. Like with the upcoming series Luke Cage and Iron Fist, they did so with a trailer. Soon afterward, the teaser was released online. The character has previously shown these traits in Jessica Jones, as she went up against the villainous Kilgrave (played by David Tennant), but here it looks like he’s taking on the world single-handed.
Even without revealing too much about the series or its plot, there’s plenty to pore over from the brief teaser.
While this brings Luke into conflict with villains like Mahershala Ali’s Cottonmouth, as seen at the end of the teaser, he also meets other heroes as well. The year will also see the miniseries “Defenders” appear online, when Matt Murdock of “Daredevil”, Jessica Jones, Luke Cage, and Iron Fist will all join forces.
Before blacking out, he saw two monks looking at him.
But the first teaser trailer Marvel just release didn’t pique my interest – it just made me angry. With Iron Fist on the horizon, it’s finally time for Marvel’s four NY heroes to team up for The Defenders. It is going to be the first time that these four will share the same show on television.
For those of you who have not been excited enough about the Marvel – Netflix presentation at Comic-Con today, how about one last gift for you?
