Following United’s 4-1 defeat to Borussia Dortmund yesterday, Mourinho expressed his determination to sign a midfielder.

United continue to chase their former youth product Pogba in a move which is certain to break the transfer record.
When asked about Pogba’s fee, Raiola told Corriere dello Sport: “I don’t give a damn about record transfer fees”.
“The newspapers write that Pogba can set the record, but I’ve already made records with (Zlatan) Ibrahimovic and (Pavel) Nedved”, he added.
Juventus have seemingly given the biggest indication yet that Paul Pogba will not feature as part of their plans for next season.
Just this week, Spanish publication El Confidencial claimed that Manchester United’s executive vice-chairman Ed Woodward had met with James’ agent and was set to table an offer of 65 million euros ($71 million).
“It was a good game against Manchester United and a great feeling”.
“And I can tell you we’ve got four first-class players in – Mehdi Benatia, Dani Alves, Miralem Pjanic and Marko Pjaca”.
Scholes also passed comment on Manchester City’s signing of Ilkay Gundogan, who he believes will be an excellent player in the Premier League.
However, he stated that he has no doubts over the quality of his compatriot: “regardless of the price, it will certainly be an exceptional recruit for this team, and I’m sure that Paul can help this club to grow and to win trophies”.
In Melbourne, Juventus coach Massimiliano Allegri said of Pogba: “Right now he’s still a Juventus player”. Gonzalo Castro scored twice, while Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang also found the net before the break.
“Of course, from here until August 31, which is the end of the transfer market, anything can happen but I feel confident that at the end of August Juventus is going to have a good team that’s going to be strong and be able to compete in all competitions”.
