Mario Goetze will be playing for his former club Borussia Dortmund next season.

German heavyweights Borussia Dortmund on Thursday re-signed attacking midfielder Mario Götze, who had left the outfit back in 2013 to spend three football seasons at Bayern Munich.
The 2014 World Cup victor called time on his stint in Bavaria on Thursday to return to Dortmund, three years after enraging fans by leaving the Westfalenstadion for Bayern. He had won two Bundesliga titles and a German Cup with Dortmund, and was one of the most highly touted talents in Europe when Bayern snatched him up for €37 million.
With Klopp now at Anfield, it’s a little ironic that Gotze (seemingly) rejected Liverpool for Dortmund, especially given his close personal relationship with LFC’s boss. After three tough years at Bayern Munich, where he could never meet the high expectations set for him, the 24-year-old now says he regrets his decision to leave his boyhood club.
The former World Cup victor was included in Germany’s Euro 2016 squad, but failed to have much of an impact.
Likely to face a frosty reception from some Dortmund fans, he said he would do everything he possibly can to win over those who “do not welcome me with open arms” and referred to the club as “my home”. My main aim is to present my own game. Club, I will squeezed my best for fans and everyone.
In fact, Gotze played 3 season for Bayern Munich and scored 34 goals in 116 matches.
