Congolese musician Koffi Olomide has been deported from Kenya on Saturday morning after he spent the night in a Nairobi jail.

Congolese Musician Koffi Olomide’s lawyer George Wajackoyah has claimed that his client was harassed by police, and his detention at the JKIA police station was against the constitution.
Footage posted on social media shows Olomide kicking the woman, one of his dancers, as they lined up at the airport in Kenya’s capital, Nairobi.
News of the latest incident is trending on Twitter in East Africa under KofiOlomide, with some people calling for the musician to be arrested, charged and deported. The police didn’t proffer any charges against him because there was no complainant.
A Kenyan minister, Youth and Gender Cabinet Secretary Sicily Kariuki, said the singer should be deported and his visa permanently revoked.
The 56 year old singer has a long history of violence.
The iconic artiste, whose career has spanned decades, was convicted in his home country in 2012, after assaulting Diego Lubaki, his producer.
