Ohio State suspends Bosa, trio of Buckeyes for opener

Ohio State coach Urban Meyer said every college football program must deal with “stuff” along the way and the defending national champions are obviously no different.

“The suspensions were due to “marijuana and academics. ” “Obviously, when you lose the big defensive end, who everybody knows where he’s at, that’s big”. “Coach Meyer, to his character, has team rules and it doesn’t matter who breaks them”. We’re going to wear cardinal and gold. Not having Bosa concerns Meyer the most at this point.

Marshall was a versatile playmaker the Buckeyes lined up all over the field, including at quarterback at times. It’s all about not being complacent.

“Some guys are good at self-motivation, so some guys needs something”, said Washington.

Longtime recruiting guru Tom Lemming called Ohio State’s post-championship tear “amazing, but not unexpected”. Three weeks after Alabama ended Florida’s unbeaten run in the 2009 SEC Championship game — and after an brief, unannounced hospital stay because of chest pains — Meyer surprised the college football world with a retirement announcement — only to un-retire 24 hours after that.

As if that wasn’t enough praise heaped on Meyer’s band of merry men, individual accolades have been thrust upon a few of the players in the scarlet and gray. “You can think about the hard times we had last year and all the times people counted us out for games that we won”. Perry assured that locker-room personalities such as Bosa, Darron Lee and Tyvis Powell will make sure this team has fun. He’s an H-Back now, but I’m not ever going to make him zero percent until he has completely made the position switch.

Meyer still enjoys watching players come out to practice to see whether they are in the right mindset. The quarterback injuries were unfortunate, but everything else aligned perfectly in the second half of the season. That honor belongs to one-time third string quarterback Cardale Jones.

When Ohio State athletic director Gene Smith was asked to clarify what the violations were, he responded: “I’m not going to get into that”. This year, bad luck might strike elsewhere. “You have to move forward from it”. “This is one of those experiences where we correct what happened, we talk about it, we learn from it and then we move on”. A defeat in the season opener this year would not necessarily ruin Ohio State’s national title hopes, but it would leave the Buckeyes with no margin for error the rest of the way and put a big kink in their ability to earn one of four playoff spots.

“Arguably one of the best defensive players in the country won’t play in that game”, Meyer said. Ohio State will be still be favored, and it is so deep that it should be expected to take care of business without much of a problem. When it comes to the season opener with Virginia Tech, Ohio State is now listed as a 10-point road favorite vs. the Hokies.
