Trump’s big day ruined by vengeful Cruz
At last night’s Republican National Convention, Ivanka Trump gave an inspiring speech about the importance of equal pay for equal work and affordable, accessible child care for working mothers. Eric Trump, on CBS’ “This Morning”, called it “classless”.

Trump is once again making a ridiculous claim.
Duck Dynasty reality TV star Phil Robertson offered some sage advice Thursday for Sen.
The blatant sign of disunity in prime time angered the Trump campaign, with top adviser Paul Manafort saying Cruz “used very bad judgment” and was “not respectful to the invitation by the convention to come and speak”.
While Thiel and Barron are a small minority in the larger LGBT community, a voting block that supported President Barack Obama in record numbers in 2012, Trump is trying to make inroads with a non-traditional constituency for Republicans by brandishing his anti-ISIS credentials. Efforts to cast Clinton as untrustworthy were undermined when reports surfaced that Trump’s wife, Melania, had lifted a portion of Michelle Obama’s 2008 convention speech.
“I am doing what millions of Americans are doing”.
The crowd was loud, often booing when Trump talked of Clinton or the national debt, wildly enthusiastic when he spoke of winning. He would not knock Trump, he told his home state delegates, but he was not going to forget Trump’s personal attacks on his wife and father during the bitter GOP primary battle.
Father and daughter took the stage together in the afternoon for an extensive walkthrough, taking turns standing at the podium and staring out into an arena that will be filled with jubilant delegates by evening. “I’m not going to get into criticizing or attacking Donald Trump, but I’ll give you this response: I am not in the habit of supporting people who attack my wife and attack my father”.
In a contest that pits two politicians viewed as unfavorable by large segments of the American people, Trump also accused Clinton, 68, of being the puppet of big business, elite media and major donors who want to preserve the current political system.
Confidently addressing the finale of his party’s less-than-smooth national convention, the billionaire businessman declared the nation’s problems too staggering to be fixed within the confines of traditional politics. As the convention’s final night began, Sheriff Joe Arpaio of Arizona’s Maricopa County vouched for Trump’s hard-line credentials on immigration. Donald Trump, she said, “is color-blind and gender-neutral”. Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell told CNN that he “totally” disagrees with Trump’s suggestion that USA support could be conditional. “I don’t want his endorsement”, Trump said. “If they fulfill their obligations to us, the answer is yes”, he said.
“Two world wars have shown that peace in Europe is also important for the security of the United States”, NATO Secretary-General Jens Stoltenberg said. I blame Hillary Clinton personally for the death of my son. But the cumulative result of the back-to-back speeches was a markedly darker tone in Cleveland than at other past nominating conventions. Then made a statement that wasn’t on the speech and then went back to his speech.
Ted Cruz for his speech Wednesday night at the RNC where he did not endorse the candidate and said to “vote your conscience.” “U-S-A! U-S-A!” and Trump went off-script by chanting along with them. “That is a profound victory and it is one earned by each and every one of you”. Her short list included Warren, two Latino cabinet secretaries and New Jersey Gov. Cory Booker, one of two black US senators.
Speaking to members of the Texas delegation, Cruz held his ground.

“I think he delivered the speech really well”, said Melissa Michelson, a political-science professor at Menlo College in Atherton. “In this election there is only one candidate who will uphold the Constitution”. Trump wrote on Twitter.
