Donald Trump to accept nomination on final day of Republican National Convention
Trump campaign manager Paul Manafort lashed out at Cruz for not publically endorsing the GOP presidential candidate as well as refusing to say his name during his RNC speech Wednesday night inside Quicken Loans Arena. I think some of Trump’s attacks on him were nasty and personal. “I never related it to the past”.

And efforts to present Trump’s family members as his character witnesses were mired by revelations that a section of his wife’s speech contained plagiarized material. Union officials announced Thursday they had won a labor dispute against Trump International Hotel in Las Vegas over union membership.
The complaint filed on behalf of two employees working to unionize under Nevada’s powerful Culinary Workers Union Local 226 alleged that one employee was sacked and another was denied a transfer to a full-time job due to their union support. “I mean if that was The New York Times, they would have gotten Pulitzer Prizes for their reporting”. Mrs. Trump’s address was otherwise distinct from the speech that Mrs. Obama gave when her husband was being nominated for president.
“Wow, Ted Cruz got booed off the stage”, Trump tweeted, noting that the Texas senator did not fulfill his pledge to support the Republican nominee.
Cruz began his first White House bid by very early in the process bear hugging the most loyal elements of the Republican Party, hoping it would solidify their support for him later on. Politics can get downright nasty, but there comes a time when the party must unite for a common goal, which is to defeat Hillary Clinton.
And you know, he’ll come and endorse over the next little while. he’ll – because he has no choice. “This is the moment when he has to be much less abrasive, much more inclusive and embracing of people who are not like him”. Yet he also accused her of “terrible, awful crimes” and said her greatest achievement may have been staying out of prison. “He has to build and broaden his base”.
Ted Cruz wasn’t going to endorse Donald Trump in his speech at the Republican convention, it was also clear that Cruz’s speech was the only one that was going to be discussed the next day.
LISA DESJARDINS: All of that demonstrates why unity will be at the top of the agenda on this fourth and final night of the Republican Convention, where the theme will be make America one again. He’ll be introduced by his daughter Ivanka, a media personality and successful businesswoman in her own right who has proven to be her father’s best surrogate on the campaign trail. “And you have to put all of those things together”.
What you’ll want to look out for during the speeches: Will yet another speaker-or even the nominee-veer the convention off script at its climax? The stream includes a 360-degree view of the convention for the full GOP experience.

“As you know, we’ve been frustrated in the past and we’ve suggested that Ted could help himself with some of the things that he could have done in the United States Senate in terms of apologizing to the majority leader for some of the comments he made”.
