Manafort: ‘The Never Trump Movement Is Nevermore, It’s Gone’

That announcement, scheduled for Friday, was delayed due to the attack in Nice, France, Thursday night.

It’s black outfits today for the mourners of the passing of the #NeverTrump movement.

The 112-member panel overwhelmingly rejected the measure when it came up for a voice vote late last night. That vote was 87-12. It was never in doubt: “Convention will honor will of people & nominate @realdonaldtrump”, he tweeted. Mike Lee of Utah, one of the “conscience” Republicans on the rules committee.

“The fight is far from over in Cleveland”.

But Lee was clearly in the minority.

Previously, only the Committee on Rules could make changes, which then had to be approved by a majority of national convention delegates.

Bush has said he won’t vote for Trump or Clinton, and in an op-ed in The Washington Post Saturday he wrote: “I do not believe Donald Trump reflects the principles or inclusive legacy of the Republican Party”. There’s a very divisive campaign on the other side, on the Democrat’s side, this year.

“I personally have received 440 emails to vote my conscience, to unbind…”

Delegates: California will send nearly 350 delegates to the convention, the largest delegation of any state. He has not voted since registering from his $1.4 million home in Jacksonville, where Tebow grew up.

One final option remains: Stay away.

On the heels of media reports that star quarterback Tim Tebow would be addressing the Republican party’s national convention in Cleveland next week, the Denver Broncos player sought to clarify: He absolutely will not be speaking.

Brady was initially floated as a possible speaker, but he won’t appear. “Well, you had your chance to do that on primary day in your state”. Instead, former Virginia Attorney General (and Cruz ally) Ken Cuccinelli was trying to broker a deal with Priebus in which Cuccinelli and his allies would stop jamming up the amendment process in exchange for certain conservative-friendly changes to the 2020 primary process, like closing all of the early primaries.

Republican National Committee chief spokesman Sean Spicer said he would not reach that margin. “We gauged their opinions, found out what they were concerned about and patched together a group that’s been frankly in place for a long time”.

“I think he could pick up some union votes”, Smith said.

“Obviously, it’s extremely exciting”, Michael Garrison said. “Cause we’re not sure with some of the protest, I expect there’s gonna be quite a bit going on…uh with a lot of what’s going on in the news and the world and of course Donald Trump does have a tendency to upset some people”, she added. “But rules like this are not going to help that”, Lee said. “Now the delegates themselves will have to take the baton”. On the other side was party loyalists and Trump backers.

Under current Republican Party rules, delegates’ votes are to be tallied for the candidate to whom they are bound as a result of state party primaries, conventions and rules.

The effort failed a rare recorded vote, 23-86. A vote to end discussion on the proposal received only 21 “no” votes, indicating that a push to force a vote on the convention floor will not reach the 28-delegate threshold. Gay rights activists who sat on the party platform committee have also discussed introducing a resolution that would soften the GOP’s official opposition to same-sex marriage. Senator Lee spoke against it.
