Ivanka Trump makes appeal to women voters in RNC speech

All in all, she said, her father “will be your greatest, your truest, and most loyal champion”.

With these words Thursday night, “I humbly and gratefully accept your nomination for the presidency of the United States”, Donald Trump completed his takeover, and makeover, of the Republican Party. He then proclaimed that “I am your voice” to the American people.

I’m with you, and I will fight for you, and I will win for you.

“My father values talent”, said Ivanka Trump, a vice president of the family Trump Organization.

“Let’s defeat her in November”, Trump said.

“She’s intelligent; she’s strong-willed; she has an entrepreneurial spirit”.

Her father has low ratings among women voters.

As he did in the interview with The New York Times that was published late Wednesday evening, Trump intends to argue that the United States should retreat from the world stage, and leave areas of strategic interest to dictators, who Trump posits are the only solution to the problem of radical Islam. “She’s an impressive woman”.

This goodwill for Ivanka may prove to be a powerful political weapon for her father. Her brand is refined and feminine, but unmistakably Trump. “I think he’s just an ideologue”.

“Trump’s acceptance speech will be a worldwide event and set up the terms of the debate for the race against Clinton”, said Republican strategist Scott Reed.

Trump’s wife, Melania Trump, made the biggest strides toward that goal.

Ivanka is considered the most business-savvy of Trump’s four adult children.

Ivanka was the family member to introduce the billionaire businessman as he launched his presidential bid from Trump Tower in Manhattan.

“She’s so good at humanizing him. We feel a sense of betrayal”, Wilson said. It included rowdy protests outside the convention halls and a rebellion inside the arena by delegates who tried to support a different candidate from the one they were pledged to nominate. We will be a country of generosity and warmth. Donald Jr. has fundraisers for his father in Texas Monday, and will be at a popular county fair in MS next week.

In May of this year, the band issued a cease-and-desist order to Trump asking him to stop using their music.

Ivanka warmed to her political role, but it took a little doing. But by the end of the first night, it was clear that wasn’t going to happen.

“Is there anything I’m supposed to do?” she asked, according to the staffer.

Still, Trump’s campaign invited Cruz to speak – as a headliner, no less.

Indiana Gov. and Republican vice presidential nominee Mike Pence: “Hillary Clinton wants a better title”.

She has emerged the poised, credible ballast of her father’s campaign, and she might just be its saving grace. She signed autographs and posed for selfies while instructing her husband, Jared Kushner, to search Google for the rules of the caucuses so she could help instruct voters who wanted to vote for her dad.

Susan Hutchison, chair of the Washington delegation to the convention, said she confronted Cruz after his speech and called him a “traitor to the party”.

Five months later, she confessed to nervousness. “Nobody knows the system better than me, which is why I alone can fix it”, he will say. “I never related it to the past”.

“He is honest and he is real”.

Trump will also blame her policies for the rise of Islamic State militants, a situation many Democrats blame on Obama’s predecessor, George W. Bush, for launching the Iraq war.

The speech veered back and forth from Trump warning of America’s impending doom to promising to “add millions of new jobs and trillions in new wealth that can be used to rebuild America”.

But Ivanka is an exception, Packer said. And in the well-received, prime-time speech, she made a direct appeal to women, who are breaking in polls for rival Hillary Clinton. She urged him to tone down his rhetoric on the divisive Muslim ban.
