Kabali Massive Opening on First Day

For when Rajinikanth is in form, no one can dare to withstand the storm that beckons his arrival!

Box-office collection aside, the film, which was made on a budget of Rs 100 crore, has already earned about Rs 225 crores from the sale of theatrical, audio and satellite rights. This compared to Bahubali box office collections of $1,382,076 (full day) from its USA premiere and Sultan’s $786,194, is likely to be a new record for any Indian film.

Rajinikanth’s “Kabali’s has just taken the entertainment world by storm, the film which released not on any holidays or vacations, has become one of the biggest festivals of the year, as Rajini fans are more than insane and are celebrating it as ‘Kabali Festival”. Although the movie received mixed responses by the audiences but Kabali fever is still on peak. So overall In India only it has collected approximately 28 to 32 crores on first day.

Distributor Rajesh Thadani was upbeat over the success of the film.

Coming to Kabali 1 day collections, reports said that it has minted approximately 12 crores from Tamil version itself. This was the best a South Indian film had recorded till then, but Rana Daggubatti starrer Baahubali had notched up a take as high as Rs 5.15 crore on day 1, eventually entering the Rs 100 cr club.

It is directed by Pa Ranjith and Radhika Apte, and Dhanishka played the female lead role. In 1984 when Thanu turned producer with Arjun starrer “Yaar”, Rajinikanth appeared in a cameo in the film. “We share am wonderful connection, it is extraordinary”.

It was not really a film in which he starred. There were all kinds of rumours but the film earned well.
