Dr. Dre Donating His Royalties From New Album To Compton
Legendary American rapper and producer, Dr Dre, has dropped a hot new album titled “Compton” – 16 years since his last solo release.

“I felt myself just so inspired by the movie that I started recording an album”, Dr. Dre said on his show on Apple Music, which as noted by the report is Apple’s new streaming and radio service where Dr. Dre has played a prominent role. Dre said he hopes “everybody appreciates all the hard work I put into this album”. Thomas “Big Pooh” Jones from local hip-hop stars Little Brother provided introductions that led Mez to the studio of Dr. Dre (Andre Young), founding member of the iconic West Coast gangsta-rap group N.W.A. From the looks of it, this will be the final album of his career as an artist.
“I’m honored that Mr. Young has decided to make a significant investment in his community”, said Mayor Aja Brown. The 16-track LP features collaborations with Eminem, Kendrick Lamar, Snoop Dogg, Xzibit, Ice Cube, The Game, Jill Scott and more.
The head of the music cable network says those from Generation X who grew up listening to N.W.A., as well as Millennials familiar with Dre’s musical protégés and Beats brand will all want to purchase his new material.
Announced just days ago, Dr. Dre’s third studio album, Compton, has released as planned. By this logic, one can guess that it will more likely be sonically akin to classic NWA material than the retro G-funk of “The Chronic“, but until we hear it, we won’t know for sure.
He explained that he really wanted to do something special for Compton.
“Compton: A Soundtrack” will stream exclusively on Apple Music from 2-5 am on Friday morning in Nigeria.
Compton will officially release on August 7 while Straight Outta Compton meets the silver screen August 14.
This album, according to the same article, was announced by Ice Cube on Philadelphia’s own Power 99. Straight Outta Compton is set to hit Theaters next week.

“I’m not talking about low-riders and blunts and all that anymore”, he told MTV News.
