Donald Trump will promise to protect the country from foreign and domestic threats and by putting “America First” in his address Thursday evening formally accepting the GOP nomination for president.

More boos could be heard on the floor of the convention as Cruz left the stage. “After 15 years of wars in the Middle East, after trillions of dollars spent and thousands of lives lost, the situation is worse than it has ever been before”, Trump said, though he did not mention that those wars started under Obama’s Republican predecessor, George W. Bush. Unity? There wasn’t one person in the room, including the Texas delegation, right?
“I have joined the political arena so that the powerful can no longer beat up on people that cannot defend themselves”. “I can’t really imagine him on a white horse, but that seems to be what he is telling us: ‘I alone can fix it'”.

And that wasn’t the only criticism he made of the presumptive Democratic nominee, whom he has dubbed “Crooked Hillary” throughout his campaign.

The no-longer-presumptive presidential nominee also thanked running mate Mike Pence, saying the IN governor has helped him strengthen ties to the Republican Party.

“Senator Cruz being upset with the fact that Mr. Trump attacked his wife by saying that she was unattractive and then attacking his father by accusing him to be part of the Kennedy assassination – with no apology – that to me says a lot about a man”, he said.
