Clinton, Kaine Debut As Democratic Ticket In Florida
Clinton said Kaine cares more about making a difference than making headlines, “everything that Donald Trump and Mike Pence are not”. “Next week in Philadelphia we will offer a very different vision for our country, one that’s about building bridges not walls, embracing the diversity that makes our country great, lifting each other up, standing together because we know there’s nothing we can’t accomplish once we make up our minds”, Clinton said.

“I don’t think it’s a help at all”.
And while Trump left the stage as soon as the IN governor stepped up to the lectern, Clinton sat behind Kaine as he spoke.
Kaine said his son is “deploying to Europe to uphold America’s commitment to our North Atlantic Treaty Organisation allies”.
And it’s at that rally that Americans got their first taste of what a Vice President Kaine would look and sound like. The two only briefly posed for photos at their campaign kickoff.
The president had considered Mr Kaine as a potential running mate during his 2008 campaign, and reportedly encouraged Ms Clinton to choose the senator.
Clinton compared Trump with the kind of historical figures who declare themselves the only solution: “Despots, dictators, authoritarians who have promised ‘I can fix it alone.’ I reject that”.
In his speech, Kaine said he was an optimist and described his childhood in Kansas City helping his father in his metal-working shop and his Catholic mission to Honduras, where he helped teenagers with carpentry and welding and they taught him Spanish.
The Democratic hopefuls promised the crowd in Miami that they’d fight for job creation, a higher minimum wage, affordable college, paid family leave and “comprehensive immigration reform that includes a path to citizenship”, among other progressive causes.
“Behind that smile, Tim also has a backbone of steel, just ask the NRA!” says Clinton. “In the halls of power, in the faces of our national security leaders, America is still not fully reflected”, she said. Fellow Virginians to this day praise the way Kaine handled the tragedy – an episode that they say demonstrated both compassion and governing skills.
He’s the former head of the Democratic National Committee – a position now held by U.S. Rep. Debbie Wasserman Schultz of Florida, who joined Clinton and Kaine in Miami and Tampa. He also had a particularly powerful backer in Obama, whom Kaine endorsed in 2007. Clinton and Kaine will be stronger together on the campaign trail, particularly in Trump must-win states of Virginia, North Carolina, and Florida.
Clinton first announced her choice in a text message to her supporters Friday evening.
And a former Virginia governor as well. “H”, the former secretary of state tweeted.

Though he’s relative unknown to most of the country and, by extension, Silicon Valley, Kaine will provide yet another reason to not vote for Donald Trump. Trump has made a hard push for Sanders fans; unlike Sanders, Kaine in the Senate has backed President Barack Obama’s proposed Trans Pacific Partnership trade agreement with Asia. ” Trump tweeted early Saturday morning”.
