A second rally in solidarity with the Black Lives Matter movement in the United States was held in downtown Montreal’s Cabot Square Saturday afternoon.

But as violence against the police escalates, some parts of the media have begun blaming the “Black Lives Matter”, movement for the incidents, saying their slogan needs to be replaced with “All Lives Matter”. “Why don’t we just kill all the shit and say we all matter”, he continued.
“No violence and no weapons”, the Facebook page says. And I would never go to a breast cancer rally and yell out “colon cancer matters.’ We know the way Blackness functions in this country is unique and we have to deal with that trauma in a different way”.
Protestors made their way down the streets of San Marcos Sunday evening chanting black lives matter, but they said this peaceful protest was about much more. “And like I said, that call remains the call today”.
Speakers at the Black Lives Matter rally in Melbourne’s CBD outside the State Library of Victoria emphasised that “all lives matter” during the event on July 17, 2016.
Stressing that all lives – including black lives – matter, Jezell Gaines, who also traveled from NY to protest outside the convention, urged Americans to not vote until real change is achieved.
“And guess what? It ain’t more police killing blacks than it is blacks killing blacks”, he said. After police left the scene, the remaining members of the protest marched to the police station, where they remained for a few hours.
“That’s not acceptable whether you like them or don’t like them”, he said.

“Everybody has the right to protest, I don’t believe this is going to be out of hand or anything like that”, Captain Kirkwood said.
