The Walking Dead Season 7 Trailer Introduces King Ezekiel

Admittedly a massive fan of the comics, Morgan admits “the comics only give you so much”.

While speaking with Deadline, executive producer Gale Ann Hurd slammed rumors that McBride’s absence at the SDCC has something to do with Negan’s mysterious killing spree last season.

Interspersed with the happy montages were images of Jeffrey Dean Morgan’s nefarious Negan, pointing his barbed wire-covered bat at every individual.

Yesterday, The Walking Dead took to the panel at Comic-Con to dish the dirt on the forthcoming seventh season of the hit drama. And if you think the identity of Negan’s victim is going to be revealed within it, you’re way too naive (not that it’s going to stop some people from analyzing every frame).

Andrew Lincoln, who plays Rick Grimes in the zombie series, suggested that all will be revealed as the season progresses.

“Obviously, we’ll find out in the first episode”.

Directly after “The Walking Dead” panel, “Game of Thrones” co-creators David Benioff and D.B. Weiss offered a few insights into possible character motivations left unexplained by the show.

Hardwick open the panel by asking executive producer Robert Kirkman whether the season premiere would provide a payoff for frustrated fans. “It’ll be worth it. We’re heading to one of the greatest showdowns since Terminus”.

AMC said the new season of 16 episodes will be split in two: eight in the fall, and the eight others starting in February.

It’s been a huge day for The Walking Dead fans and, much like the upcoming storyline, the news is nowhere close to slowing down.

“It happened so fast”, Garcia said.

Speaking of that expanding universe, Comic-Con attendees also heard from the Fear the Walking Dead gang.

The intriguing trailer opens with misty water-colored memories of all the characters (and we mean ALL the character) who might be coming back just long enough to say a violent farewell.
