Pence checked off a number of key moments in the speech, first introducing himself to a national audience, attacking Hillary Clinton and making the case for party unity by backing Donald J. Trump, who accepted the nomination for President on Thursday.

At the end of his speech, Trump joined Pence onstage, shook his hands, and gave the crowd a thumbs-up sign. Pleasant, said he’s never met Pence, but looks forward to learning more about him. “But I’m hopeful. Right now we have eight years of nothingness-so I’m just happy it’s on his radar”.

Gary Peters said Trump chose a divisive running mate in Pence, and that working families in MI can’t afford the policies of a Trump and Pence ticket.

Come on Ted Cruz!

Cruz is saying nearly nothing about Trump in his speech.
