Southend boss, Phil Brown, on England speculation
The Scot was in the stands as Sunderland defeated Rotherham United 2-1 at the New York Stadium on Saturday.

David Moyes had an unexpected return to Manchester when a flight carrying Sunderland’s squad to Geneva had to be diverted.
Allardyce, who will face the media at St. George’s Park on Monday, admitted that he has been dreaming of the role ever since taking up his first managerial position, at Irish second-tier side Limerick, 25 years ago.
“It is the right time for me”, he told the English Football Association’s website (www.thefa.com).
“I have spoken with him on many occasions and I have always been hugely impressed”.
Prior to that, he became well regarded as Everton’s gaffer from 2002-2013. In his time with the Blues, Moyes brought in a number of club legends, including Tim Cahill, Tim Howard, Phil Jagielka and Leighton Baines to name a few.
Sunderland finished 17th in the Premier League last season, two points above relegated Newcastle. “I am relishing the challenge and excited by the opportunity”.
“For me, with my experience, I think it’s the right time”.
For what it’s worth, the work of Big Sam in guiding Sunderland away from relegation was a massive step in the right direction for the club, who have been flirting with the idea of relegation for far too long over the past few seasons.
New Sunderland boss David Moyes has already identified Gary Neville as the man he wants to assist him in the North East, report the Daily Express. Unused by Louis van Gaal, Januzaj quickly fell out of favour at Old Trafford and was farmed out on loan to Borussia Dortmund on loan last season.
