The Walking Dead season 7 trailer: zombies and tigers, oh my

AMC’s The Walking Dead held a panel in Hall H at San Diego Comic-Con this year and were not able to reveal much about the upcoming season seven because season six ended on such a particular cliffhanger.

The Walking Dead is going to extreme lengths to protect Season 7 spoilers from leaking, including shooting death scenes for all 11 of Negan’s potential victims. According to Deadline, the new season will premiere internationally on Monday, Oct 24 on Fox channels in more than 125 countries.

The 3-minute clip, which was later streamed on Facebook and posted on YouTube, features heartwarming moments for each of the show’s main characters left in peril at the end of Season 6.

The trailer culminates in our first look at The Kingdom’s leader Ezekiel (Khary Payton) as well as his pet tiger who doesn’t seem too friendly (still, we’d take it over Negan).

The Walking Dead season 7 premieres on AMC Sunday, October 23, at 9 p.m. ET.

“I wasn’t aware that it would have the impact that it did”, Gimple said.

Hardwick open the panel by asking executive producer Robert Kirkman whether the season premiere would provide a payoff for frustrated fans.

King Ezekiel and Shiva were glimpsed in a trailer that debuted during the show’s Friday panel at San Diego Comic-Con International. Executive producer Gale Anne Hurd was quoted mentioning “non-human characters” to be featured in episode 1, as reported by Deadline.

“It’s absolutely worth the wait”, he said.

Andrew Lincoln, on the other hand, hinted that “The Walking Dead” Season 7 will show “one of the greatest showdowns” the audience will ever see since the epic Terminus battle from Season 4.
