Viewers of “The Walking Dead” were left with one of the cruelest TV cliffhangers in recent history last season, but executive producer Robert Kirkman promises the resolution season 7 will be “absolutely worth the wait”.

A new trailer for season 7 of AMC’s The Walking Dead made its debut at San Diego Comic-Con, along with confirmation that the post-zombie apocalypse drama will be making its return on October 23.
In the trailer we also see the new characters, and the comic fan favorite character, Ezekiel, makes an appearance, and he looks incredible! Starting off with a montage of scenes dedicated to the more hopeful past moments of each character, the trailer soon ventures into their latest darkest challenge-facing against the murderous Negan.
Jeffery Dean Morgan, who plays Negan, opened the session walking behind seated cast members, menacingly wielding Lucille.
Admittedly a massive fan of the comics, Morgan admits “the comics only give you so much”. In addition, the trailer shows that we will finally get introduced to “The Kingdom” and it’s ruler Ezekiel, whom comic bookers will be familiar with. “It affected me in a way I didn’t expect”.
“Ezekiel is played by Khary Paton, and executive producer Scott M. Gimple said: “[He’s] a bit younger [and] more svelte” than the character we see in the comic books, but “he came in, and he owned it”. “It’s a really shitty start to the season” for the characters, Lincoln said but promised that things will get better for them down the line.
This one (below), is for the Walking Dead’s upcoming season 7, and it looks extremely intense and very interesting as Rick and company are spotted having to yield to Negan’s vicious rules!
First, we can confirm that new episodes of the cable smash hit will kick off on Sunday, October 23 at 9/8c.

As in past cycles, Season 7 of TWD will be broken up, with the show returning for the final eight episodes of the run in February.
