Wasserman Schultz will step down at the end of the Democratic National Convention, she said in a statement on the eve of the confab in Philadelphia that is set to anoint Clinton as the party’s presidential nominee. Clinton indicated in her statement that she will try to help Wasserman Schultz fend off the challenge in Congressional District 23.

In Philadephia, Sanders supporters rejoiced over Wasserman Schultz’s resignation at a rally, chanting “Debbie is done”.
The chairwoman of the Democratic National Committee announced she will step down from her position at the end of the convention amidst the release of thousands of internal emails within the party.
Vermont senator Sanders had said Ms Wasserman Schultz “should not be chair” of the Democratic National Committee.
“There’s been dirty politics throughout history and I certainly hope that Congresswoman Wasserman [Schultz] is defeated in her local election because it’s disgraceful”, said Sanders supporter Jack Shannahan on Sunday.
Emails posted to the website Wikileaks show that at least some DNC officials were looking at ways to undercut Sanders’ campaign, including questioning his religious beliefs. “The party leadership must also always remain impartial in the presidential nominating process, something which did not occur in the 2016 race”, he said. Number one, I think the DNC leak is just a disaster.
Now, she will be working as an honorary chair for Hillary Clinton’s campaign.
Martha Williams, a delegate for Hillary Clinton from Terrell said, “I’m thrilled to be here as a delegate”. Cushing is one of three whips for Sanders delegates from the Granite State.
Mrs Clinton’s campaign manager, Robby Mook, told ABC that Russian Federation was behind the email leaks in an effort to help Mr Trump win the presidency, something he described as “troubling”.

“I told you long time ago that the DNC was not running a fair operation, that they were supporting Secretary Clinton”, Sanders said on ABC’s “This Week”. This could make several points difference with my peeps. Don’t come here at the beginning of the convention and poo poo that and say, ‘oh, no, we are all happy.’ Listen, people like Tim Kaine but give people a minute to have a moment of heart break.
