Have Captain America And Iron Man’s Civil War Teams Been Revealed?

One of the criticisms lobbed at Marvel’s Cinematic Universe has been the lack of dramatic stakes.

ComicBook.com noted that Klaw has not been listed in the “Civil War” cast, but T’Challa’s death could be the catalyst for Boseman’s character to become a Black Panther similar to his comic book counterpart.

On the other hand, worldwide Business Times notes that with the long list of superheroes already making their own scenes in Civil War – Spider-Man and Black Panther – plus the war between the Captain and the mass-favorite Iron Man, there could be little or no space for a huge Hulk intervention.

The heroes who support Tony Stark (Robert Downey Jr.) are The Vision (Paul Bettany), Spider-Man (Tom Holland), Black Widow (Scarlett Johansson) and James Rhodes (Don Cheadle). This would not be taken well by Captain America who also had spent a lot of time working with Natasha Romanoff.

Thor will be elsewhere, dealing with problems that will be more clearly showcased in Thor: Ragnarok.

Black Panther will also be in the film, but Feige previously confirmed that the character will be neutral in the fight. And if rumors are to be believed the Hulk (or at least Bruce Banner) may pop up in some capacity.

Iron Man’s team is a little smaller, but this team also has two men in powerful robot suits, so it all balances out in the end.

According to a new report by Umberto Gonzalez at the HeroicHollywood, the superheroes who are supporting Steve Rogers (Chris Evans) in the movie are Hawkeye (Jeremy Renner), Falcon (Anthony Mackie), Scarlet Witch (Elizabeth Olsen), Ant-Man (Paul Rudd) and Bucky Barnes (Sebastian Stan). Who knows what’s up with that guy. Plus, various plot twists may lead to both sides being shaken up.

The stage has been set, the lines drawn, and in less than a year Captain America will square off against Iron Man in Captain America: Civil War.
