Salman Khan relieved from charges related to Black Buck case

Not to forget, an appeal had filed challenging the lower court’s verdict that had given him one and five years’ incarceration, respectively, in both different cases of poaching. Salman has also been in the Jodhpur jail twice.

The actor was earlier handed down a five-year sentence by a lower court in 2006.

Speaking about the case, Renuka Shahane wrote, “In 1998 a Black Buck & 2 Chinkaras (that are endangered species & therefore can not be killed) were allegedly killed on a hunting trip that included Salman Khan, Saif Ali Khan, Amrita Singh, Tabu & Sonali Bendre”.

The Dabangg Khan was convicted in the year 2007 for hunting two endangered species of animals.

Later, the High Court dropped charges under Arms Act against him on his appeal.

The court held that the case was based on weak circumstantial evidence and the prime witness was missing.

August 2013: Salman Khan was denied a visa for the United Kingdom owing to the conviction charges. Although, the Rajasthan high court has set aside the orders of the trial court, the Rajasthan government has questioned high court’s judgment.

He had served a week’s sentence in connection with the case before getting bail. Khan is now busy shooting for Kabir Khan’s Tubelight. The actor was not present in court when the verdict was pronounced.
