A spokesman for the Arizona Department of Public Safety told the Fort Worth Star-Telegram the crash still is under investigation but is not believed to be Tyler’s fault, adding that the van was making a left turn when the crash occurred.

No one on the bus sustained major injuries, but four people in the van were killed. Four team staff members – Cowboys writer Mickey Spagnola, team mascot Rowdy, videographer Jason Walraven and the bus driver – were on board.

“There was a crash and it made them unable to come”, Montoya said.

Charles Cooper, manager of GameWorks entertainment center in Vegas, says a fan event with 50 to 75 fans was scheduled for 3 p.m. Sunday. The fan event understandably had to be canceled.

People were already waiting when the president of a Las Vegas Cowboys fan club called to relay news of the accident.

A Dallas Cowboys tour bus was involved in a road crash in Arizona in which four people in another vehicle died, the National Football League team confirmed. Cooper says the team mascot was supposed to appear. Photos of the accident scene indicate the Cowboys bus remained upright. The agency couldn’t immediately confirm the number of deaths, but it said a medical examiner was en route.
