DNC chair resigns following leaked pro-Clinton emails from WikiLeaks
In a turn of events for the Democratic Party, the widely reported email leak which exposed long-held allegations that Debbie Wasserman Schultz, the Chairperson of the Democratic National Committee, and her party plotted against the campaign of Bernie Sanders, she has successively resigned from her position and been appointed to head Hillary Clinton’s campaign committee.

This news incensed many staunch Bernie-crats, like Amy Powell of Springfield, who says she’s glad “the truth is finally out”.
Sanders is scheduled to speak Monday night.
“Leaders who have remained neutral will likely start to endorse Clinton”.
While most celebrities are headed to express their support for the former secretary of state through speeches or performances, actress Rosario Dawson, who is a die-hard Bernie Sanders supporter, said she is headed to Philadelphia to protest.
The memo is devoted largely to plans for his concession, with a wish list that included crafting a “progressive platform” for the party.
“Going forward, the best way for me to accomplish those goals is to step down as Party Chair at the end of this convention”, Wasserman Schultz said in a lengthy statement Sunday announcing her resignation, referring her desire to unify the party.
I think it would be very hard for a self-respecting Sanders supporter, in light of these revelations, to take the beating and humiliate themselves and disrespect themselves, to go into the campaign and support the predator who destroyed them.
“It’s not a party of the people anymore”.
“I am definitely going to the DNC, and I’ll definitely be protesting outside of the DNC”, Dawson said. “After this election, assuming Hillary wins the election, they need to revisit the role of the DNC”. Although Clinton is viewed slightly more favorably, she continues to suffer on the issue of trust: 65 percent said they do not believe Clinton is honest, a sharp rise from 50 percent who said the same in March 2015. “The contrast between Donald Trump’s convention where he “alone can fix it” versus Hillary Clinton’s convention is that we are stronger together”, the official said.
Republican Donald Trump has said that in his administration, the USA might not come to the defense of North Atlantic Treaty Organisation allies who don’t contribute enough to the alliance.
Clinton cares more about party-building and party institutions than Obama.
Most of Sanders’s delegates were inclined to agree with him, but supporters of Clinton have been surprised as even minor slights set off heated arguments.
On Sunday, Sanders called for her to resign.
In some ways, that is not totally surprising, because Clinton is the institutional choice of the Democrats and DNC members are the party’s establishment. Bernie Sanders at 2 p.m. Monday.

“We don’t have a nominee, because Bernie Sanders hasn’t conceded yet”, said Courtney Rowe.
