Teaser trailer offers first glimpse of Trainspotting 2
T2: Trainspotting will be released in the United Kingdom on January 27, 2017 and then in the USA on February 10, 2017 to mark the 21st birthday of the original film. While the teaser is less than a minute long, it packs a wallop with its reveal that Renton (Ewan McGregor), Sick Boy (Jonny Lee Miller), Begbie (Robert Carlyle) and Spud (Ewen Bremner) are all back for T2.

Recreating some of the original’s most memorable imagery as we hear Iggy Pop’s “Lust for Life”, it should please those that have been waiting around two decades to see these characters again.
T2, which is based on Irvine Welsh’s 2002 novel Porno, reunites Trainspotting director Danny Boyle with the cast he helped become global stars. Watch the trailer above.
Ahead of its release, a short trailer has been shared via The Guardian.
The cast and crew have been seen filming at various locations across Edinburgh and elsewhere in Scotland over the past few months.
