Managers of the castle, which is also a world heritage site, explained to public broadcaster NHK that the complex is full of steps and areas – for example the moats surrounding Himeji – that are restricted as they are risky. The company has yet to announce any definitive plans for other sponsors inside or outside of Japan so far, but don’t be surprised to see sponsored Poke Stops in the United States before too long.
“The market has overreacted to the Nintendo statement”, Macquarie Securities Group’s senior analyst David Gibson told Reuters. It broke records in Japan within days of its release there on July 22, when it hit 10 million downloads in just one day.
Apologizing to everyone in Japan for the delay, the original Pokemon game developer and the head of development at Game Freak, Jyunichi Masuda confirmed “Pokemon Go” can now be played in Japan.
“I’m not really familiar with Pokemon, but it’s fun”, she said. “‘Pokemon Go’ can now be played in Japan”.
During Niantic’s Pokemon GO panel, a lot of details regarding what the wildly popular game had to offer, were discussed.
It was also acknowledged that the ongoing issues with servers need to be worked out first while Hanke spoke of a desire to make PokeStops more interesting locations, mainly by giving users more control over what they do.
Drivers playing the game have already caused accidents, while people all over the world have trespassed private property in their hunt for collectibles.
The game, released July 6, was evolved from an earlier Niantic Labs AR app game called Ingress, which Mr Hanke said has also gained in popularity after the release of Pokemon Go.

Yasuo Sakuma, portfolio manager at Bayview Asset Management, said he still saw the company’s shares as cheap given the potential for Nintendo to reap rewards from other strong character franchises as it forays deeper into mobile gaming.
