Helping to kick off the fan festival, producers have released new footage of “Rogue One: A Star Wars Story” – due in theaters December 16 – in the form of a new “celebration reel” featurette.

The Rogue One expansion will take place on Scarif – a new planet in the Star Wars universe with a tropical climate which can be seen on the movie’s new poster.
“Trying to navigate this thing where it’s new but feels fresh was the dance that was the process of making the film”. He said that Rogue One: A Star Wars Story was based off the information given in the opening crawl of a Star Wars: A New Hope. The film, out later this year, will follow rebels who are out to steal plans for the Death Star.
Season Pass owners will be getting “Rogue One: Scarif” two weeks earlier than everyone else, EA said on its website.
Also in the panel, there was the reveal of the 2, previously unknown, heroes set to appear in the Death Star DLC.
EA has published a teaser for an upcoming DLC pack destined for Star Wars Battlefront. After all, the end of the prequel trilogy saw the Death Star being constructed. Meanwhile, news on the next and final expansion “Rogue One” is still slim.
The Star Wars Battlefront Death Star DLC will be released this September, while another expansion for Battlefront is scheduled for a release this December.
Jones was joined on stage by a number of cast members including Riz Ahmed, Forest Whitaker, Mads Mikkelsen and Ben Mendelsohn.

Kathleen Kennedy has stated that Rogue One: A Star Wars Story probably won’t have the iconic opening credits crawl of other Star Wars movies, ET Online reports.
