The Bernie Sanders campaign is urging its 1,900 delegates not to miss a private meeting with him right before the start of the Democratic National Convention.

Resistance to Clinton was on display during a demonstration Sunday as many thronged to a main thoroughfare and chanted, “Hell no, DNC, we won’t vote for Hillary”.

National preference polls may give Clinton an edge over Trump and the electoral map may favor her. “Does he believe in a God”.

She’s had my back. She said then that her supporters hadn’t yet been able to “shatter that highest, hardest glass ceiling”. The Sanders campaign briefly sued the DNC but the party reached an accord with Sanders and the suit was dropped in April. Wasserman Schultz’s email to Todd was titled, “Chuck, this must stop”.

In a related issue, a top DNC official apologized for an email in which he suggests depicting Sanders, who is Jewish, as an atheist as a means of undercutting him during the primary season. But at a Coconut Grove fundraiser in June, President Barack Obama declared his support for the congresswoman – “She’s had my back”.

“And for whatever reasons – and I don’t want to try to analyze the reasons”.

Sanders has endorsed Clinton, but his delegates are pushing for a state-by-state tally. He showcased his Spanish skills Saturday at a rally with Clinton in Florida. He was escorted out.

In addition to Washington and Hollywood luminaries, Democrats convening in Philadelphia this week have lined up “everyday Americans” – both those she’s helped over her career and those she’s met on the campaign trail – as character witnesses for prime-time speaking turns and video presentations. And she led the party when Obama won his second term.

“We feel we have some big opportunities with some groups of voters who have leaned a little more Republican in the past”, he said.

More convention duties have fallen to her than in 2012, given that there is no incumbent president to set the agenda. The leaked emails prompted primary runner-up Bernie Sanders to call for Wasserman Schultz’s immediate resignation. Tim Kaine as vice-presidential running mate.

“You think you know somebody, but you really don’t know their biography, you don’t know what makes them who they are”, she said.

“This is a counter-convention”.

The emails were leaked from the accounts of seven DNC officials, Wikileaks said. The convention begins tomorrow in Philadelphia. Sanders scored a convincing victory over the former USA secretary of state, in the state’s March caucuses.

The duo is expected to make a stop in Johnstown on either Friday or Saturday.

“As I walked around the streets and invaded their space, I got a couple of unusual looks”.

“She grew up as an ordinary kid in the suburbs of Chicago who went to public school”, said Melanne Verveer, the former first lady’s chief of staff, who remains a close confidante. “But Cleveland is a Democratic town, my friends”.

Someone in the audience hollered, “We love you!” He is more conservative than I am.

When he accepted the Republican nomination, she said, Trump said that he “alone” could fix the country. Clinton praised the deal when she was secretary of state, but has since distanced herself from it.
