Only Kashmiris can decide their future, India told

For that, Pakistan and India must put aside their hardline stances aside and figure out a long-term solution to the Kashmir dispute, it said.

Aziz added the right to self-determination has been given to the people of Kashmir by the United Nations Security Council.

Ms Swaraj’s attack was targeted directly at Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif who told a rally last day in Pakistan Administrated Kashmir that the Kashmir would soon become part of Pakistan.

“Let us not forget, as one Indian writer has reminded us, that not long ago the British labelled Indian freedom fighters as traitors and terrorists because at that time India was considered an integral part of the British Empire”, he said. “You will never be able to make this heaven on earth into a terror hell”, she stressed.

Swaraj had also objected to the statement of Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif in which he had called Burhan Wani a “martyr” saying “For India he was a wanted terrorist”. Sadly, it’s not Pakistan’s DUA or diplomatic support but its weapons and terrorism that it has exported to Jammu and Kashmir.

All Parties Hurriyat Conference on Sunday organised a protest programme in Paris against the civilian killings in Kashmir in which hundreds of Kashmiris and Pakistanis participated.

Pakistan’s Foreign Office has also condemned the violence in Indian-held Kashmir and the extra-judicial killing of Wani. Pakistan’s dirty money, unsafe terrorists and duplicitous state institutions seek to destabilize the region.

On Friday, Pakistan Prime Minister declared that “Pakistanis are waiting for the day when Jammu and Kashmir becomes a part of Pakistan”.

Reacting to the comments, Sushma said “Pakistan fuelling violence in Kashmir”. He appealed to the United Nations, and other worldwide human rights organisations to take notice of the situation in the region.

The country which has used fighter planes and artillery against millions of its own people has no right whatsoever to point a finger against our fearless, professional and disciplined police and other security forces.

His death triggered widespread protests and resulted in the death of some 40 people so far after Indian forces tried to suppress the voice of the young Kashmiri youth who are demanding freedom from the Indian rule. “Pakistan’s designs will never succeed”.
