Jesus quenches our thirst for God

Somehow when Jesus said, “Come, follow me”, would-be followers heard, “Come, write creeds about what everyone has to think”. How about desiring His presence in the church, coming to church every week with expectation that He will touch us, at least some will be healed from their illnesses? I wanted them to know we have a spiritual need that only Jesus can satisfy. For a moment the whole nation was suddenly going back to church and praying. If He was wrong, then He can’t be God. I guess I don’t really understand this.

Our country is massively tilted and is being attacked from within.

Without faith it is impossible to please God (Hebrews 11:6). Real Christianity and faith must be rewritten. Only Christ can quench their thirst. “Remember the great crusades”. Jesus is saying that this movement of his followers will be around forever until his return. According to Obama and his progressives Jesus is just a longhaired statue to use.

When word spread that Tofik had converted to Christianity, he became the target of Islamic violence. I slammed on my brakes and the girl looked up at me in fear. I am a radical…out of touch. He was at work in my life. We receive, and we give it all away as, in turn, we are continually being filled with more of the mind of Christ.

Is God vain because He demands our praise? God loves you, and (believe it or not) he is more concerned about your future than you are. We are under judgment and there is no hope. They are at times wonderful, painful, even traumatic, but you have to admit they are and have been indeed personal. Since I don’t know much about racing, or sports of any kind for that matter, I will make an analogy of the journey of a Christian through this life with a thing I do know about.

But the Bible also tells us two important truths about God’s gift of salvation. He is not done with America, or us especially when we humble ourselves before Him and reach out to him for help. His death made salvation and forgiveness of sins possible for all. It was the easiest target the NAZI planes would ever have…400 guys with nowhere to hide. For a lot of them, the food they had at the center was probably all they would eat that day. Dozens of the 400 knew Psalm 91 and were yelling it out loud as the bullets rained down on them.

How will God direct you? What happened however was that not one of the 400 soldiers were hit by gunfire. And nothing I do seems to change God’s mind on that! My heart had resumed beating but it ached for the families. That does NOT mean people who are caught in the trap Satan has them in, i.e. homosexuality, should be kept out of our Churches. God is a just and fair One.

All the while I am puzzled why my heavenly Father is not answering my legitimate prayers. That was most unlikely as well.

However, we don’t have to dwell in the past when we have the Lord to free us from our guilt and shame.

In conclusion, we serve God in body as well as in spirit (I Cor. 6:20); this would include our dress. “Even so, we also should walk in newness of life” (Romans 6:3-4). What does the Bible say about our perceptions and words? They will not rise to that level on their own. Westley replies, “Death can not stop true love“. We will be judged based on the Word of God (John 12:48). In Your holy name we pray, Amen. Anything else is casual. Sing praises to God, sing praises! Don’t keep focusing on the bad guys, struggles and our lack…focus on God and His power.

While some people reading this might respond by asking more questions, such as: “But what about good, moral people?” My parents and I belong there to this day.
